Kingdom Mindsets and Prophetic Words: Breaking Loose Immovable Loads

I was tickled and delighted watching her name colors, numbers and simple objects. It was precious hearing her call out our names and say please and thank you. The level of engagement conversation opens up is remarkable and it is clear that her Mom and Dad have a special ability to converse with her that exists because of their parental relationship with her. My oldest grandchild, Noelle, has begun speaking and on a recent weekend visit I experienced the tremendous pleasure of being Grandma.

He knows all His kids and speaks to each through personalized means.

I have found that engagement in conversation with my Heavenly Father is enhanced because of our relationship. He’s my Daddy, and He knows how I understand things. He knows what will catch my attention and what will make His message crystal clear to me.  He knows I love to take something He shows me and look at it from different angles and search to discover the deeper meanings that are not observed at first glance. He knows all His kids and speaks to each through personalized means.

As I was scrolling through social media I stumbled across a post by a dear friend of mine where she shared a re-post from a year earlier. She had placed a hashtag in that original post, and when I read it, the Holy Spirit shook me to my core. I was literally vibrating with the prophetic revelation I felt being released in that simple word. It read, #fulcrum… I was instantly praying in the spirit and couldn’t stop.

Simultaneously, I immediately looked up the definition of fulcrum which is the point on which a lever rests or is supported and on which it pivots. Still praying I found the definition of lever, a rigid bar resting on a pivot (#fulcrum) used to help move a heavy or firmly fixed load with one end when pressure is applied to the other. (#my emphasis).

But if we utilize the assistance of leverage with a tool like a fulcrum and lever, with that same amount of strength we can break free and move that load that was stuck and in the way.

My spirit was abuzz! Daddy was showing me something powerful and wonderful using simple physics. In the physical world there are loads much too heavy or immovable to affect with our own strength. But if we utilize the assistance of leverage with a tool like a fulcrum and lever, with that same amount of strength we can break free and move that load that was stuck and in the way. The physics applied is a metaphor of a supernatural kingdom reality. As believers, God gives us a supernatural ability to do what seems impossible by applying the right spiritual tool for the situation.

I began pressing in to learn from Daddy what the kingdom equivalents of the fulcrum and lever are with the sense that these spiritual tools would become a new weapon in my arsenal for spiritual warfare as an intercessor. As with all good metaphors, several things can fit the picture. But two things came to mind in the moment. The words that came to me for fulcrum are kingdom mindsets. And the words I heard for lever are prophetic words. Here’s how I see this tool working.

First, let’s look at the lever. The lever is the part of the tool that actually causes movement and allows our little strength to break loose and move that heavy thing that is stuck in the way. Can you think of an instance in your life where you were stuck in place and unable to accomplish that thing you believe you were called to do? You did everything you could think of and pushed with all your might, but nothing happen. You were so tired of trying, and you were ready to give up and call it quits. Then God put someone in your path to speak over the situation. Your heart leapt and your faith soared as you put your shoulder to the task again. Amazingly, things began to move and change. Doors that were closed flew open and resources that were locked away were released into the very area you were ready to walk away from without a victory banner to plant in the ground in the sight of the enemy. Prophetic words are a powerful lever. If you receive the word and apply your faith to your end of the lever, God uses the other end to break loose and move the heavy load that the enemy has dumped in your way to prevent you from accomplishing what God has asked you to do. But in order for the lever to work, it must be positioned on a fulcrum.

The fulcrum is the foundation piece that the lever rests on. Using the wrong object as a fulcrum will reduce the ability of the lever to move the heavy load. If the lever can’t rest securely on the fulcrum and pivot properly when the weight of that heavy object is being transferred, that heavy load could end up obstructing your path even more. If the lever of a prophetic word comes to rest upon a mindset or way of thinking that is based on worldly ideologies, when pressure is applied to move the heavy load, the lever will slide off and the load will not budge. Or the lever will not be able to pivot on those incorrect mindsets in order to swing that heavy load away from obstructing your path. Kingdom mindsets or ways of thinking that are based on the principles of Heaven where Christ reigns with complete authority are the correct fulcrum on which to rest the lever of a prophetic word.  When the prophetic word is placed on a kingdom mindset and pressure is applied to your end of the lever, the lever remains firmly in place as God moves His end of the lever to break loose and remove the heavy load that has obstructed your path!

The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:6

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

Since then you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Colossians 3:1-2

Now back to my #fulcrum friend. She had re-posted a note from a year ago about a prophetic dream that was shared with her by a friend that related to a vision God had given her and she’d been waiting a long, long time to see it come to fruition. That same friend had another recent prophetic dream to share with her that was confirmed twice in separate venues on the same weekend. The fulcrum/lever effect kicked in immediately as she applied her faith and God has been breaking loose and releasing all sorts of impossible things in response! I encourage you to ask God to renew your mind with kingdom mindsets and to show you things in Heaven to set your mind on so that when He releases a prophetic word to you, it will have the right fulcrum to rest on in order to break loose the immovable load that has been blocking your path and preventing you from seeing the impossible accomplished in your circumstances.
