More than 80 Christian groups in the US condemned the bill legalizing same-sex marriage. In a letter signed by 83 faith-based groups, it called the Senate to oppose the said bill which they claim is an attack on people of faith.
According to a survey by Barna Group on the willingness of American adults to engage in online worship, 68% of Christians said they are somewhat open to actively participate in prayer during a virtual church service.
A recent survey showed that 50% of American Christians treat their pastors as a friend. The Barna Group published a study on Christians' relationships with their lead pastor or priest outside of church services and events.
Half of practicing Christians in the US believe that the history of slavery still has lingering effects in the country. According to the recent Barna survey, 50% of respondents said they "mostly or totally" see the negative impact of slavery during the 18th and 19th centuries on black Americans today.
