We Will NEVER Forget

He was the last person to ever speak to her. On September 11, 2001. My husband was the manager on duty in SAMC (System Aircraft Maintenance Control) for United Airlines when the call came in, and it was handed over to my him.

Sandra Bradshaw was on the line informing my husband that they were in a highjack situation.

Sandra Bradshaw was on the line informing my husband that they were in a highjack situation. After asking her if she was okay my husband immediately went through the checklist [for such a situation] with her. When they had completed the checklist, my husband, knowing their fate, wanted to keep Sandra on the phone as long as possible. That would not be the case. Sandra told my husband they had prepared some pots of hot water and were going to throw them at the highjackers and then the line went dead.

On September 11, 2001 at 10:03 a.m. UAL Flight 93 crashed in a field in Shanksville, PA and 44 souls were lost.

My husband remembers how calm, courageous and brave Sandra Bradshaw was.

To all families and friends of those lost we continue to remember and honor your loved ones with you. We Will Never Forget.

To all first responders whether at Ground Zero or in other capacities, we remember with you, we thank you and We Will Never Forget.
